Ordering & Cakes

How do I place a cake order?

All custom and celebration cakes must be ordered via our Cake Order Template on the website.
This ensures we receive all the information we need and helps avoid delays.

Please note: we’re unable to take cake orders via DM.


How much notice do you need for cakes?

  • Custom cakes require 2–3 weeks’ notice, subject to availability.
  • Availability is not guaranteed without payment.

Do you have ready-made cakes available in-store?

No — all cakes are made to order.

Our counter is stocked daily with cookies, brownies and other bakes, along with drinks.


How many servings do your cakes provide?

Serving sizes vary depending on cake size and how slices are cut.
We share serving guides and examples in our Instagram FAQ highlight, which is the best reference.


⏰ Enquiries & Response Times

How long does it take to receive a reply?

Baked By S.K is a small, independently run business.

We aim to respond to enquiries within 48–72 working hours. During busy periods or peak seasons, responses may take slightly longer.

Please avoid sending follow-up messages within this timeframe, as this can delay responses further.


🏬 Visiting the Cakery

Where are you located?

We’re based at:
Unit R2C, Sheaf Bank Business Park, Sheffield

Directions can be found in our Instagram Location highlight.


Is there parking available?

Yes — parking is available within the business park.

  • Weekdays (9am–5pm): please display a visitor ticket
  • After 5pm on weekdays & weekends: parking is free

Can we sit in or is it takeaway only?

You’re welcome to sit in, however space is limited.
Seating availability may vary depending on how busy we are.


🍪 Walk-Ins, Stock & Payments

Do you have a set menu?

No — we don’t have a fixed daily menu.

Certain items like cookies and brownies are usually available, but flavours and products change frequently.
We recommend checking our Instagram Stories before visiting.


Can I reserve counter items?

Unfortunately, counter items cannot be reserved without payment and are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.


What payment methods do you accept?

We accept contactless card payments and cash.


🚗 Uber Eats

Are you on Uber Eats?

Yes! A selection of our bakes and drinks is available via Uber Eats.

Please note:

  • Delivery times are managed by Uber
  • Any issues with delivery or refunds must be reported directly through the Uber Eats app

🍵 Drinks

Do you offer coffee & matcha?

Yes — we serve coffee, matcha and iced drinks, available for walk-ins and Uber Eats.


Do you offer decaf?

We currently offer decaf coffee.


🎓 Classes

Do you offer cake decorating classes?

Yes — details, dates and booking information can be found on our website when classes are available.

Please note:

  • Class bookings are non-refundable
  • Tickets may be transferable with prior notice

🌱 Allergies & Dietary Requirements

Do you offer gluten-free, dairy-free or vegan options?

  • At present, we don’t offer gluten-free, dairy-free or vegan products.
  • Our kitchen handles common allergens, and we cannot guarantee against cross-contamination.

📦 Postal Orders

Do you offer postal bakes?

Yes — selected items are available for UK-wide postal delivery via our website.
