Welcome to Baked By S.K — a cosy, independent bakery based in Sheffield, U.K. 🎂✨

From gooey cookies and fudgy brownies to beautifully crafted celebration cakes, we create bakes that bring people together. Our journey started with simple vanilla cupcakes, and over the years has blossomed into a full-flavoured bakery serving fresh treats, drinks, postal boxes and custom cakes to customers near and far.

🍰 What We Do

Come visit us at 160 Crookes, where we offer freshly baked goodies like brownies, cookies, cake slices, cakesicles and more — often available on the day. We also serve coffee, matcha, iced drinks, and tea, including options with oat milk and decaf ☕.

Postal Bakes

Can’t visit in person? We ship selected boxes of cookies, brownies and other treats across the United Kingdom. All postal products are packed with love and shipped weekly.

Classes & Workshops

From time to time we host cake decorating classes for beginners and enthusiasts alike. Details and dates are shared on our website and Instagram.

Uber Eats

You can also get our bakes and drinks delivered to your door via Uber Eats — perfect for treating yourself on a whim.

We’re a small, independently run bakery. To help manage enquiries alongside baking and day-to-day operations, we aim to respond to messages and emails within 48–72 working hours.

Baked By S.K began as a passion project — a love for baking born from experimenting with simple homemade recipes and a sprinkle of creativity.

Over time, that passion grew into the bakery and coffee shop you see today. With a focus on quality ingredients, thoughtful flavours, and aesthetic designs inspired by modern trends, we strive to create bakes that are as delightful to eat as they are to look at.

From baking from home to operating from a unit to now a sit in coffee shop in Crookes , serving the Sheffield community — this bakery is a reflection of joy, creativity and community.

Background

A passion for baking that began before she could even reach the countertop.

What started as simple vanilla cupcakes — made by eye and guided by instinct — quickly became something special. For S.K, it was the magic of watching a few humble ingredients come together that sparked a lifelong love for baking.

As that passion grew, so did the obsession with all things cake. In 2016, an Instagram page was created purely to document this journey — a space to learn, experiment and grow.

In 2021, the business took a more defined direction following a rename and rebrand (previously known as cakesandbakesbys). With that came a clearer vision and purpose. Today, Baked By S.K focuses on modern, Pinterest-inspired celebration cakes, alongside fudgy brownies, gooey cookies and a selection of other bakes.

S.K specialises in cakes and bakes finished with silky Swiss meringue buttercream — often incorporating subtle South Asian and Middle Eastern influences, inspired by flavour, culture and personal taste.
